Project Overview
Masirah Island International (MII) is proud to be working in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Wealth & Water Resources on the maintenance and renovation of both onshore and offshore port facilities at Lima Fishery Harbour in Musandam Governorate. This project represents our commitment to supporting the sustainable development of Oman's fishing industry and coastal communities.
Key Project Elements
- Onshore Facility Upgrades: MII is conducting comprehensive renovations of the existing onshore infrastructure at Lima Fishery Harbour. This includes repairs, modernization, and upgrades to buildings, storage areas, and other facilities to ensure optimal functionality and safety for fishermen and workers.
- Offshore Facility Improvements: MII is undertaking maintenance and repairs of the harbor's breakwaters, quays, and other offshore structures. These efforts will enhance the harbor's resilience to marine conditions, improve navigation, and ensure safe docking for fishing vessels.
Project Outcomes
Upon completion, the Lima Fishery Harbour project will provide a modernized and well-maintained facility that meets the needs of the local fishing community. These enhancements will contribute to the growth of the fishing industry in Musandam Governorate and ensure the long-term sustainability of the harbor's infrastructure.
